The Leap

The Leap is a student-produced pop culture talkshow. Pitch meetings are held on Mondays, filming is on Wednesdays and episodes are published on Fridays. Throughout my time on The Leap so far, I have anchored six episodes, participated in in-studio segments and conducted person-on-the-street interviews.

In my introduction to visual journalism class in the spring of 2024, I learned how to shoot news packages using a Panasonic camera and edit them together using Final Cut Pro.

Sisterhood for a Cause: TCU Alpha Chi Omega's Dedication to Philanthropy

This project is my final project for my Introduction to Visual Journalism class at TCU. Throughout this project, I continued my journalism journey as a "platypus" and combined all of my skills together. I gained the confidence to shoot, edit, and create a video package that encapsulates an impactful story. As an aspiring journalist, it is my job to tell stories about the people and places that shape the world around me. I am very satisfied with the result, and I want to thank everyone who participated in it!

Additionally, I learned how to properly use a DSLR camera and edit photos with Adobe Lightroom Classic in my introduction to visual journalism class.
