Written Work

TCU 360 Publications

I was a staff writer for TCU 360, where I had the opportunity to develop my journalistic skills. I wrote articles, conducted interviews and covered campus events.

My published work is featured below:

Capstone

During my multi-platform capstone class — the class that is essentially the cherry on top of Texas Christian University's journalism curriculum — I worked on a semester-long story collection about social media and adolescent mental health. I wrote six different stories surrounding this topic and transformed them into a visual story on Shorthand, a multimedia storytelling platform.

Long Form

This is a story I developed as the culminating project for my reporting class. This assignment challenged students to explore "fault lines" — race, gender, sexual orientation, generation, geography and class — and allowed me to hone in my in-depth reporting skills.

More TCU 360 Articles

In my reporting class, students were encouraged to report on newsworthy events on and off campus. After building a strong foundation in my reporting class, I continued to report on events and apply the skills I developed to produce clear, accurate and engaging stories — both written and visually.

Scriptwriting: The Leap

As a former scriptwriter on The Leap, it is essential to keep up with pop culture news. I used trusted news sources to gather factual information occurring in the pop culture world.

Her Campus Articles

During the 2023-2024 academic year, I wrote articles for the TCU chapter of Her Campus, a media website for collegiate women.
